I am excited to share some of my 2017 beauty favorites. If you try them out, I hope that you love them as much as I did. Also excited for a new year of blogging adventures. YOUR suggestions mean a lot to me, so feel free to comment any blog post ideas that you would like to see. Thank you in advance, friends.
Burt’s Bees Peach and Willow Bark Deep Pore Scrub – This is a great everyday face scrub if you have sensitive skin. I mix it with my favorite cleanser from Cerave (here). I love Burt’s Bees products because they are 99.9% natural and don’t contain any of the harsh chemicals typically found in facial cleansers.
Glamglow Flashmud Brightening Treatment – This product has worked wonders for my acne scarring. I love the smell of it, and its not too harsh for my sensitive skin. I try to use this product once a week and definitely saw significant results even after only a couple uses.
It Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream Moisturizing Super Cream – I got this cream in a sample size earlier this year and ran out of it a few months ago. I realized how much I miss it as I was going through my products for this post. It is a little pricey for a night cream, but it is definitely a great one. I primarily used it under my eyes so the sample lasted quite a while. If you aren’t ready to splurge on a full size, you can find a cheaper travel size here.
BRAZILLIANCE PLUS + SELF-TANNER WITH MITT – I have only self-tanned a couple times, but I loved this product so much on our trip to the beach this summer that I figured I would include it in this post. I bought this product specifically for my wedding because I am as pale as it gets, haha! I was initially nervous to try it, but the results looked very natural. I have used it numerous times since our wedding, and might try it again over the winter months.
Smith’s Rosebud Salve – LOVE this stuff. Not only is it a great chapstick, but it is also a great multi-purpose product. I actually frequently use this product to tame those unruly baby hairs that stick out of my hair and look awkward.
It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ SPF 50+ cream – I wear the shade “Light” in the summer and a mix of “Light” + “Fair” in the winter (Pale Skin Probs, haha!).
BYE BYE BREAKOUT – This new product has worked like a dream. It is not just your typical concealer because it is also an acne drying lotion. During the day it dries out existing spots and also prevents future breakouts. My skin is still not perfect, but I can confidently say this product has been a game changer this year.
EYELIFT IN A TUBE – This is a great multi-purpose product that not only conceals under your eyes, but also brightens. On one end you have a concealer, and on the other end there is a brightener.
BETTER THAN SEX MASCARA – Well, the name of this makes me a little uncomfortable. Why are makeup names always so inappropriate. Anyone have an explanation? haha! Risqué names aside, this mascara is great and it does in fact live up to its hype.
Flawless Base Brush Set – Real Techniques offers great quality brushes at a more affordable price. I have used Real Techniques for years and specifically love the Expert Face Brush. Real techniques also sells a great beauty blender called the Miracle complexion Sponge, and a brush cleaning set.
Joico Hair Shake Liquid-To-Powder Texturizer – My wonderful friend Ashley Starry recommended this product to me when I first cut my hair short. This product is great if you want messy, textured curls. I use it instead of hairspray and it holds my curls well.
Wet Brush Wet Original Brush– If you do not yet own a wet brush, you should probably buy one RIGHT NOW. This brush claims to be, “the best detangling brush ever,” and I 100% agree. Before using a wet brush, I HATED brushing out my hair after a shower. My hair looks and feels a lot healthier since using this brush, and I can brush through my tangled hair in seconds. You really just need to try one to understand, so here ya go!
Hot Tools Salon Curling Iron – Before I cut my hair short, I was one of the many people that thought a curling wand was the only way to curl your hair. A few months ago I switched it up and started using a clamp curling iron. I finally learned how to use a clamp and don’t see myself going back to a wand anytime soon. This curling method is so easy and quick, and I have been loving my iron from Hot Tools.
NuMe Fashionista Hair Straightener – I love my NuMe straightener. I have naturally straight hair so I don’t use it often, but when I want to add more volume or definition to my straight hair, the NuMe Fashionista straighter is a great tool to have!
Kenra Professional Platinum Finishing Spray – Just started using this in November. It is a great hairspray on the days that I want a tighter curl. I have loved all of Kenra’s products for years, but I have especially been liking this finishing spray. It doesn’t feel “crunchy” and offers a great strong hold. If you haven’t tried Kenra products, definitely give them a try!
Herbal Essences Smooth Collection Shampoo & Conditioner – I primarily love this shampoo and conditioner because it smells wonderful! It leaves my hair soft, silky, and shiny. I also love that it is very affordable!
Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub – If you haven’t picked up on it yet, I love anything that smells good. This Soap & Glory scrub really does smell like breakfast (in a good, not weird, way). There are hints of maple, and bananas, and almond, and honey…. yum! This product is also a great product to have on hand when you want to pamper yourself a little bit. It is best paired with the Body Buttercream down below.
Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Body Buttercream – I use this body buttercream after I use the scrub. This product also smells yummy, but has a clean and fresh sent as well. I love it for the winter months when my skin is dry and I want to fell pampered.
Capri Blue Volcano Hand Cream – I have already raved about the Capri Blue Volcano Candle so much you are probably sick of it! BUT, now there is a lotion. Now my hands smell just as great as every room in my house! I have been loving the lotion just as much as the candle.
Outremer Eau De Toilette Vanille – I was not much of a “perfume wearer” until I found this perfume from Outremer. It smells like a mixture of vanilla and almond bark, and the sweet scent definitely lasts throughout the day. This perfume has been, hands down, one of my top three 2017 beauty favorites.
Let me know if you try out any of these products! What were some of your 2017 beauty favorites?!
