2021 GIFT GUIDE: Gift Ideas For The Gal In The Word
A gift that will encourage her study of the Word and relationship with God is the best kind of gift. In this post, you will find Bible study and scripture memorization tools, Bible study books, and other fun supplies to enhance her daily study of the Word. Although these extra tools and supplies are not necessary for effective study of the Word, they are helpful and would make excellent gift ideas. I won’t tell if you snag a thing or two for yourself too (insert wink here)!
ESV Scripture Journal – These journals are great because they provide ample space for note taking and doodling. They are especially nice if you dislike writing in your Bible itself.
Gold Pen Set – I am always on the hunt for a pen during my time in the Word. A handy set of pens like this would be a great practical gift.
ESV Journaling Bible – Even though these ESV Journaling Bibles are a few years old, I still think they are so lovely and handy.
Dry Erase Board – A dry erase board like this would be a great tool for practicing weekly Scripture memorization. I might just have to snag one for my own desk.
Pencil Pouch – A great practical gift to help organize her everyday Bible study pens, highlighters, and other tools.
Mini Ruler – A great tool that ensures every underline or mark is clean and tidy. This one from Amazon is simple and would arrive quickly. This one from Daily Grace Co. has lovely engraved detailing but may take a bit longer to arrive.
Card holder – This card holder is technically made to hold business cards, but it would also make a sweet little Scripture memory card holder. You could DIY or custom print a few verse cards to create a simple but useful semi-handmade gift.
Candle – A cozy gift that is sure to spice up her Bible Study atmosphere. For fast delivery, try this candle. For a cheaper option, I love this one.
Porter Travel Mug – For her Sunday morning church service or weeknight Bible study coffee/tea.
Verse Cards – I love these verse card sets from Daily Grace Co. There are so many sets available too. From Attributes of God, to Prayers for Anxiety, and Prayers for Body Image, Daily Grace Co. has all the verse cards.
Blue Light Glasses – For the gal who uses digital Bible Study Resources.
Highlighters – I personally do not use highlighters often when doing Bible study because I prefer colored pencils, or a basic black pen, but this set has excellent Amazon reviews.
ESV Women’s Study Bible – A study Bible is a great gift for a gal looking to study the Bible more in 2022. This ESV Women’s Study Bible was published just over a year ago. You could also gift a commentary set like this one that is simple and great for everyday use.
Rattan Coffee or Tea Mug – Pair a coffee mug like this one with her favorite coffee or tea and she will be set for her early morning Bible study sessions in the coming weeks.
Dwell Bible Subscription – The Dwell Bible App is great for the on-the-go gal. I have used this app a few times on mornings that I was unable to open up my physical Bible.
On-The-Go Pencil Case – Another great pencil case for transporting all her pens, pencils, highlighters, and note-taking tools.
Soli Deo Gloria Key Chain – A simple key chain that will remind her that all the glory belongs to God alone!
Melodically Memorizing Volume One – Give the gift of easy and effective Scripture Memorization by giving this helpful CD released by my good friend Abigail Houston.
Bible Study Books – There are so many great books available to help her open her Bible and study it well. I really appreciate the work of Jen Wilkin and would recommend her study books including this one. I also highly recommend this study by Mary Wiley who was a classmate of mine and fellow Southern Seminary student.
Theologian Mug – Another great mug for her Bible study coffee.
Neutral Bible Tabs – Simple but beautiful Bible tabs.
Val Marie Paper Prayer Journal – A guided prayer journal to help her record and organize her daily/weekly/monthly prayers for the world, her family, her friends, her church, and more.
